In the Scansio Galaxy
With the destruction of Adria and the Ori, Tomin and the Priors returned to Scansio and formed a governing body to help with the transition. Quickly it was apparent that there were three major factions: Hardliners, Reformers and the Atheist or anti-Origins. While all three acknowledge that the Ori where false gods, the Hardliners still held tight to the more radical beliefs such as those that reject Origins are heretics and should be put to death, though they rarely acted on this knowing they would lose any power in the provisional government. The Doci and Priors self-exiled themselves to the city of Celestis awaiting what, if anything, the government would do with them.
Earth used this time of transition to dismantle the Supergate and shipped one of the segments to Area 51 for study storing the rest temporarily on the moon. A dialing procedure was created to further diplomatic communication with the Alterans but it became harder and harder as time passed. Even before the scale and involvement of the SGC inside and outside of the Milky Way was reduced communication was scarce and cease by 2009. The last communication from Tomin himself indicated that civil war had broken out and that whole plants of people had been wiped out by the Hardliners.
Despite the reduction of the Stargate Program, the address used to communicate with the Alterans is dialed twice a year, but fails to connect.
