SGC Command Structure
Stargate Command (SGC) operates under a hierarchical command structure, ensuring clear lines of authority and responsibility. At the top is the Stargate Base Commander, who oversees all base operations and reports directly to the Stargate Union (SGU) council. The SGU council, comprised of representatives from various allied factions, provides oversight and guidance for the SGC's activities.
Under the Base Commander are the department heads, each responsible for a specific area of expertise, such as science, security, engineering, and diplomacy. They manage their respective teams and ensure the smooth functioning of their departments. The department heads collaborate with each other and the Base Commander to address challenges, make decisions, and implement policies that align with the SGU's mission and objectives.
SGU Representatives:
There are five of permanent seats (one for the Tau’ri, Tok’ra, Jaffa, Unas and Hebridians) and one for the allied/unincorporated planets.

Stargate Base Commander:
Remington Lester, a seasoned businessman and philanthropist, brings a unique blend of leadership and strategic acumen to his role. Before his diagnosis with brain cancer at age 66, Lester had a successful career as a CEO, first in the shipping industry and later in the non-profit sector. His decision to become a Tok'ra host was driven by a desire to continue serving others, even in the face of his terminal illness.
Bonded with Fosten, a young and cunning Tok'ra symbiote from Egeria's final brood, Lester's leadership skills found a new purpose. Fosten, a master tactician and former hunter of the Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al, discovered that Lester's experience in managing complex organizations translated seamlessly to the military and strategic operations of Stargate Command. Together, they form a formidable leadership duo, combining Lester's human understanding and compassion with Fosten's tactical brilliance and unwavering resolve.
