Stargate Union
Following the United Nations' acquisition of Stargate Command, Earth solidified its position as a galactic leader by establishing the Stargate Union (SU). This formal alliance initially consisted of Earth, the Jaffa, and the Tok'ra, who recognized the strength in unity against common threats. The Hebridians, facing aggression from the Lucian Alliance, quickly joined the fold, further solidifying the SU's power.
Prior to their tragic demise, the Asgard entrusted Earth with the protection of numerous planets they had shielded from the Goa'uld and other hostile forces. The UN and Stargate Command offered these worlds a choice: become unincorporated members of the SGU, retaining autonomy in their affairs, or join as Commonwealth planets, enjoying closer ties and shared resources with Earth.
Earth also extended a hand to Unas-populated planets, fostering peace and cooperation between humans and Unas. Efforts on Flantel (P4X-601), a world with a mixed population, served as a successful model for peaceful coexistence. However, the discovery of a highly advanced Unas civilization, the United Tribes of Unas, initially posed a challenge to Unas integration into the SGU. Ultimately, the shared desire for unity and protection prevailed, leading to the formal induction of the United Tribes of Unas into the SU.
Today, the Stargate Union stands as a beacon of hope and cooperation in the galaxy, uniting diverse worlds under a common banner. This collective strength provides a formidable defense against hostile forces like the Lucian Alliance, while fostering diplomatic relations and promoting trade, cultural exchange, and technological advancement among member worlds. The SU's unwavering commitment to mutual respect and shared values ensures a brighter future for all, as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of the vast universe together.
